Cell Microarray Analysis for Brain Tumors

Cell microarray analysis for brain tumors

The development of brain tumors is a complex biological process in which multiple genes are involved and multiple pathways interact with each other and are associated with mutations or abnormal expression of multiple oncogenes, oncogenes, and DNA repair genes. How to find the molecular mechanisms of brain tumor pathogenesis and multi-stage evolution of cancer from the massive data is a problem that scientific researchers must face nowadays. The emergence of cell microarrays provides a high-throughput and high-efficiency means of brain tumor research.

Cell microarray analysis services for brain tumors provided by us

Alfa Cytology has built cell microarrays based on microfluidic principles that integrate cell screening/capture, culture, and cell functional analysis. We can use biologically active small molecule peptides to biofunctional modify microchannels on a simple cross-shaped microfluidic chip. We build a functionalized microenvironment with strong peptide binding, orderly arrangement, and uniform distribution to improve the sensitivity, specificity, and biocompatibility of the microchip system. This enables the identification and capture of target cells in microchannels, in situ culture, and activity analysis, and provides a highly sensitive and specific platform for brain tumor cell systems biology research and drug screening.

Microfluidic single-cell microarray services

  • In-depth analysis and understanding of subcellular gene expression in cell protrusions will help further explore the underlying molecular mechanisms of cancer metastasis and may lead to the exploration of unique therapies to prevent tumor progression by controlling cell migration.
  • We have a microfluidic platform using which we have successfully prepared highly homogeneous cell protrusion arrays by forming large area single-cell arrays (>5,000 single cells) and culturing them in situ.
  • In combination with laser capture microdissection (LCM) technology, we were able to isolate cell protrusions with single-cell precision and high throughput. Importantly, the number of protrusions can be controlled as many times as you need, ranging from one to thousands, and this can be achieved quickly.
  • Finally, we extract mRNA from the isolated protrusions and use high-throughput sequencing technology to help you obtain a gene expression profile of brain tumor cell protrusions. This can provide a new way to study the migration mechanism of brain tumor cells and related signaling pathways.

Cellular cDNA microarray services

A cDNA microarray is a cDNA array that detects the expression of target genes by real-time fluorescence quantification. We provide cellular cDNA microarrays by extracting RNA from brain tumor cells, reverse transcribing it into cDNA after quality control, and spreading it on a 96-well plate. Subsequently, we can detect the expression level of mRNA and non-coding RNA (including lncRNA, circRNA, and microRNA) by the RT-qPCR method.

Cell microarray-based drug screening services

To perform information-rich, high-throughput screening, we have developed cell microarrays for cell-based multi-indicator response detection. We can analyze cellular behavior at the individual cell level using high-resolution fluorescence microscopy and automated image analysis capabilities. This novel cell array format helps to advance functional genomic studies and large-scale in vitro toxicity assays in brain tumor samples.

Besides, in the process of novel brain tumor drug development, the use of target cells on our provided cell-on-a-chip for drug screening can not only improve the efficiency of drug development but also enable sensitive, high-throughput and automated integration of drug screening.
