Cancer R&D 2024 has wrapped up successfully. We’re grateful for your interest and interaction with Alfa Cytology. We’re eager to continue providing our expertise in cancer drug development. Let’s look back on these memorable moments!
Learn MoreCancers of the brain and nervous system affect adults and children; the cause of some brain tumors is unknown and most are highly aggressive. Neurodegenerative diseases are disease states that involve the loss of neurons in the brain and spinal cord and commonly include Parkinson's disease (PD), Alzheimer's disease (AD), and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Disease models are the most important tools and platforms for revealing disease pathogenesis and drug screening. Alfa Cytology provides PD, AD, and ALS modeling viruses and AAV-mediated modeling services to meet these research needs.
Traditionally, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery have been used to treat brain tumors, but the advent of immunotherapy, as well as oncolytic viral therapy, among others, have also provided promising options for the treatment of brain tumors. Therefore, we provide our customers with model mice with a single genetic background. Recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) vectors are safe and have a wide range of host cells. The rAAV vector can be used to carry the target genome into mice, which enables the modeling of animals with corresponding diseases. Such a modeling method has the advantages of wide applicability, uniformity and stability, high success rate, obvious quantitative-effect relationship, and simple preparation.
We provide a stable platform for the study of PD pathology by creating PD models with viral vectors overexpressing α-synuclein in the substantia nigra. In addition to the above models, can also provide you with knockouts, conditional knockouts, and live mice that contain these PD-related genes Park2, Park7, Pink1, Lrrk2, Atp13a2, Pla2g6, Fbxo7, and others.
We provide AD transgenic models and AAV-induced AD model construction services as well as offer AD modelling-related viral products. We also offer a range of gene-edited mouse models, as well as custom or collaborative development of gene-edited mouse models in response to researchers' needs
We provide you with animal models of ALS, including transgenic model animals and AAV vectors, as well as viral products for modeling. These include knockout, knock-in, point mutation, humanized mouse models, and surgical disease models in mice and rats to accelerate ALS pharmacodynamic validation experiments.
Alfa Cytology's modeling system and virus product quality control system are based on standard documentation, which ensures model quality and batch-to-batch consistency, as well as a high degree of safety. We can achieve large-scale production with high yields and stability. Please feel free to contact us for information on models and related viral products of interest.
