DMPK Services

Alfa Cytology specializes in providing clients with drug testing services for leukemia. Our experienced team creates innovative solutions for you to use in leukemia drug research. This data is written to understand the process of the drug from absorption to metabolism in the body, to confirm the correlation between drug metabolism and efficacy levels, and to select the drug with the best ADME characteristics.

Overview of DMPK

Drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) is the study of how drugs are treated and treated in the body. ADME refers to the dynamic changes in the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of drugs in animals. DMPK studies the characteristics of absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and pharmacokinetics of drugs in vivo by various detection methods. DMPK is an important means to study the whereabouts and changes of drugs in vivo, can explain the efficacy and safety of drugs, and is an important step in the process of drug development.

Our Services

The DMPK services offered by Alfa Cytology range from expert in vitro ADME and in vivo PK to fully digitized laboratory operations and management. We combine our full range of services and expertise with open, transparent communication between teams and specialties to help your project progress smoothly throughout its life cycle.

ADME Services

Our ADME services elucidate the internal processes of how drugs move and undergo bodily processing in vivo. These services aid in explaining the pharmacokinetic (PK) processes of any given drug.

  • Absorption
We used PAMPA to measure the content of the drug before and after diffusion. The drug is placed in the donor chamber, and if the drug has spread through the hydrophobic membrane, it will be detected in the recipient chamber.
  • Distribution
We used equilibrium dialysis, ultrafiltration, and ultracentrifugation to measure the binding percentage of the drug to α-glycoprotein and albumin in animals, so as to judge the diffusibility of the drug.
  • Metabolism
To evaluate the metabolic stability of your drug, we employ specific matrices tailored to your program, such as the liver, mitochondria, hepatocytes, or leukemia models.
  • Excretion
Bile, fecal, or urine samples are measured and analyzed to assess levels of compounds and metabolites by using sensitive LC-MS.

Pharmacokinetics (PK)

Through our histopathological platform, the distribution of compounds in tissues and target organs was determined. The relationship between drug concentration and time was plotted, and the pharmacokinetic parameters, including drug half-life, drug clearance rate, maximum concentration, and time and curve area after administration, were calculated to evaluate the content of compounds in blood.

Pharmacodynamics (PD)

PD uses biomarkers to judge the efficacy of drugs. Using our ELISA detection platform and molecular detection platform, we can determine the distribution of specific biomarkers in blood and tissues. We also offer customized services to tailor the solution according to your specific drug requirements.
