Leukemia is a broad term encompassing a group of diseases characterized by the uncontrolled proliferation and abnormal differentiation of white blood cells, resulting in a malignant tumor within the blood system. According to the rate of onset and source of leukemia, leukemia can be divided into four main types, namely acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), chronic lymphoblastic leukemia (CLL), and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Although leukemia has been studied extensively, the causes of leukemia are not fully understood but are associated with a variety of genetic and environmental risk factors. Chromosomal abnormalities in leukemia lead to the disorder of gene expression regulation, triggering the downstream signaling pathway, resulting in cell proliferation and differentiation dysfunction, resulting in the occurrence of leukemia. Due to the limited healing ability of traditional chemotherapy drugs and the complexity of different types of leukemia, the study of the pathogenesis of leukemia is conducive to the development of targeted drugs and provides directions for the treatment of leukemia.
